If anyone is noticing the time....it is about 1:50am on Saturday night....or I guess Sunday morning. I just can't sleep so I thought I would log on and blog about our night. We just got home from a night at Tiffany's. On our way home around midnight......the boys were both asleep in the back seat. We heard a huge bang and glass shatter. At first I couldn't even see what it was......well it was the back window right behind the divers seat. It was the window that Logan was sitting right next to. I can't even tell you the feeling I had in that second. Me and Jason both started yelling at the kids and trying to wake them up to make sure they were okay. We hurried and pulled over at the gas station that was right by us.
We didn't know what hit the window....me and Jason both thought someone shot a gun....but as soon as we stopped I jumped out and opened Bridger's door and a rock fell off his blanket that he had over him. We know that someone either threw the rock or shot it with a sling shot. To come through the window hard enough to not only shatter the window but to go through it too. Jason called 911, we figure there probably wasn't much they could do other than have it on record incase anyone else reports anything going on in the area. So we sat there and tried to clean everything up as best we could....but that glass breaks into such fine peices it was EVERYWHERE. It was in Logan's hair...all over the Jeep and the carseat. I actually put Bridger in the front seat and sat with Logan in the backseat on the way home. We didn't dare to put Logan back in the car seat cause there was so much glass. As we still had about 30 minutes home...I just sat there thinking. I was so upset.....thinking of the terrible things that could have happened.....if that rock would have hit my kids or Jason (that was driving).....we can replace the window, but I am just so greatful that nothing happened to my boys! Logan just kept asking who did that to his window....and I told him it was okay and that we would get it fixed. Bless his heart...he said he would get his toolbox when we get home. Kids think of things in such a simple way....I wish it was that easy. Anyway....we are all home just fine tonight...in one peice....and I am so greatful for that!!!

I don't even have an appropriate comment because there aren't enough words. How scary! I choked up a little reading it knowing that you probably got choked up at the situation and I would have been the exact same way. I'm glad that everyone is okay.
What a scary night!! So glad everyone is ok. And that Logan is such a sweetie! Love you all! ~kk
I can't even think of enough sware words to adequately chew out the little beep that did that! Oh if I got my hands on him! (just assuming it was a boy, most likely)AAHHH I am so fiesty thinking about it. I am so glad that your family is alright! It is amazing how fast kids can soften a scary moment like that with their cute little coments! LoR
What a scary night! I'm sure those first few moments were the worst trying to figure out what happened. I'm grateful that no one was injured. It is natural to think of "what if". . .and you can make yourself sick doing that. Give my love to the boys and try not dwell of what could of happened--and hope they catch the idot who did it.
Ted told me about this on Friday evening. My heart started racing just thinking about how scary that would be and how grateful I am that nobody was hurt. My mind would have been going through the same "what if" scenarios.
