Last Day of 2006

There may not be a better way to finish out 2006 than to spend the day in the mountains. Kate and I went snow shoeing at Solitude...and my sister and her boyfriend (that are visiting from Boise, ID) went skiing at Solitude. Snow shoeing was great, I don't know if we could have asked for a better day. Kristi and Beau said that the skiing wasn't the best cause there wasn't any new snow, but I think that everyone had a good time. We met up with Kristi and Beau in the lodge for lunch and hung out with them for a bit.
We were waiting for our shuttle to take us back up to our car and we needed to waste some time. Nice snow angel Kate!
We even ran into a moose in the canyon. You don't see those in person everyday so that was really cool! Kristi and Beau.....how special!
You gotta love the self portraits. I think this has turned into a tradition....we can't have any outing without taking some self portraits.

Christmas 2006

Here are some picture of the boys Christmas mornind. They had a great time...of course Logan had more fun with the boxes and paper than the actual presents. Bridger scored with a Red Ryder BB gun (Jason's idea of course).

What a year....

It has been one year, to the day, that we got Logan. December 23, 2005 was a great day....that we will probably never forget. That day such a blessing was brought into our home. At the time that we picked Logan up we weren't sure how long he would get to stay with us....but we immediatly fell in love with him and I knew I never wanted to let him leave. I can't believe looking back it has been a year. You can see by the pictures how much he has grown. He is at such a fun stage....hard stage...but fun. He is walking everywhere and getting into everything. He turns the TV on and off about a million times a day and thinks it is just so funny. He is also driving me crazy by getting into the Christmas Tree and taking things off it....but non the less....I wouldn't change it for anything.

Sledding

Its about time we got some good snow. Sunday we ended up with about 8 to 10 inches of snow at our house. Bridger of course was so excited....he came in first thing in the morning on Sunday to tell me and Jason how much snow was outside. Within about an hour he was dying to go out and play in the snow. It ended up that Jason got out the fourwheeler and hooked up a little sled and pulled all the little kids around in the neighborhood behind the fourwheeler. Me and my neighbor thought it looked so much fun (but there was no way we were going to try and ride on the little saucer sled) so we went into Cabela's and bought a family size sled. So I have attached on the pictures of me and Karen getting pulled on the sled. It was lots of fun!!!

Here we go again.....

....Karaoke! This time we tried a new place...it was called Maggie McGee's and it was tons of fun. We have kind of started a tradition to go out and Karaoke when friends have birthdays. Well this time April, Kate and Heather all had birthdays within a couple days of each other so it was such a good excuse to go out. Kate and Riz!
Tiff, April, Mindy, Riz and Kate

Here is the gang singing "Earl" by the Dixie Chicks. This was probably one of the funnest songs that night.....we rocked the house!
Tiff was trying to be sneaky and take a picture of me and Jason dancing but of course Jason had to hide.....he hates pictures!

Seriously.....a mini van?

My friend Kate got into a car accident last week so she had to get a rental car til she gets a new car or they fix hers. Here's the funny part.....the guy from Enterprise picks her up in a mini van to go get her rental...she was kinda thinking maybe that was just he was using to drive around. Well when they get to the rental place she fills out her paperwork and the guy reaches in his pocket and hands her the keys. They were the keys to the mini van! So here is my cute, single friend Kate now driving a mini van. Anyway we all went to lunch today and so she came in the mini van to pick us all up.

Snowshoe Adventure

Tiffany and I had decided that we wanted to try snowshoeing. We had attempted to go for several weeks, but somethings else always came up....well this weekend we actually made it. I was a little nervous about it at first (especially cause the people that we rented the shoes from were kinda looking at us funny when we told them we had never gone before), but it ended up being so much fun. We started at this place called the Solitude Nordic Center and worked our way (about 3 miles) down to the Solitude Village. It was a good workout, but tons of fun....what a better way to get a workout than in the mountains doing something fun. This is our first picture after leaving the Nordic Center! Doin' good so far.
As you can see, Tiff is only down to a T-shirt....we were so hot that most the time didn't even have our jackets or gloves on.
I was attempting a snow angel against this rock...kind of a bad idea, snow went all down my back!
Doing a little trail blazin' off the original trail. It was fun in the deep powder.
We didn't run into one other person, so we had to take a self portrait.
Needing a break....hard work on the legs!

Toward the end we realized we only had about 25 minutes before we needed to catch the shuttle back up to the Nordic Center so we were trying to book it fast.....the pressure was getting to Tiffany....she had a few falls!! :)

KK, Beau and Cooper

Here are pictures of my sister KK (Kristi) her boyfriend Beau and their new puppy Cooper. I am such a sucker for puppies, I think that Cooper so so dang cute....it really makes me want another puppy---oh yeah, I already have two big dogs...bad idea!

This is the cutest picture I think...puppies seem so innocent sometimes, like in this picture, Cooper looks like a little angel.

Brad Paisley & Carrie Underwood

The best song of the night was when Brad sang Alcohol. He showed different pictures on the big screen of different Utah bars......everyone was going crazy!

Riz and Tiff at the concert!

Tiffany and I bough tickets to the Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood concert. We were so excited to go, it gave us something to look forward to all week. So Friday came and we took the Trax downtown, we started with dinner at P.F. Changs (which was awesome) then we road the Trax over to the Delta Center. I just have to say that we had a blast. I didn't know this but there was another guy singing that night to, someone named Jake Owen.....he wasn't that great and we were just ready for Carrie and Brad to get started. Once Carrie came out the crowd went crazy, and both her and Brad put on a awesome show. I'll have to admit that I am even a bigger Paisley fan now!!!!
