These are some pictures around the hotel.
One afternoon Jason passed out at the pool. He was snoring and drooling. It was pretty funny! How can you blame him? It was relaxing! :)
:)
They had a bunch of dolphins at the hotel. You could swim with them (but it cost lots) so we just enjoyed them from afar. They were so playful, you could walk by almost at any time and see them swimming and playing.

The Midwest Region. Went to Ruth Chris for dinner with them one night. Fun group!
Thursday we went out for an adventure with the Nebs. We rented a Jeep and headed out. We stopped at Hunauma Bay for some pics...then continued on out way to the North Shore. The whole drive was so pretty.

Hang loose Charlee!! What a character she was!

Amy and Charlee.

Turtle Bay Golf Course.

Loved all the little surf shops.

This is a view from Diamond Head. It was a hike we did. Lots of fun and great views in both directions.
Jeff and Melissa Scherpereel.
We sat at the top and were able to see whales...it was pretty cool.
This is the view over to Waikiki.

Fun morning for sure. Glad we did that hike.
Here is the last night at the reception. Carrie Wood....what a crack up. Love this lady!!!

Last but not least, we were all ready to head out on our last day. We had a 5:15am wake up call cause we were supposed to take a couple to the airport. The lady says, "goodmorning Mr. Sheppard, you may want to get on your way, we are going to have a tsunami warning go off at 6:00am and the first wave is expected about 11:00am". What a way to wake up. So we turn on the news and all they are taking about was the earthquake in Chili, and that there are tsunami warnings for all the Hawaiian islands. I guess we didn't really know if we should be worried or not. The hotel was taking it all so serious that we were a little concerend. The hotel was going to evacuate everyone to higher floors. We were on the 3rd floor so we went up to the 5th floor with Monroe and his family.
Here is the first gang that was hanging out...just waiting to see what was going to happen. We had front row seats if anything did happen we were going to see it. Nice ocean view!
We waited and waited.....
(notice they cleared everything from around the pool)
and waited......

and waited......

After hours of waiting and watching the news...nothing ever happened. They eventually opened the roads back up and let us go downstairs. It was an interesting day for sure.
