What an adventure!

On Wednesday night me and Logan were driving home in the evening and he started to say that his tummy hurt. It kept getting worse and worse the whole way home. By the time we got home and I got him out of his car seat he just started screaming. He was doubled over in pain. We went inside and I tried to get him laying down and comfortable, but he was just rolling around in so much pain. At one point he was hardly breathing cause he hurt so much. He was sweating, and crying and you could just tell that he hurt bad. After taking temperatures and also giving him some stomach meds.....it had been about 30 minutes of this.....I decided to take him to the Urgent Care (that was the only thing open at the time). So we drive into Urgent Care, Logan crying the whole way....we got into the doctor really fast and by the time they took his temp again it was at 101....so it had even gone up. After talking to me and looking at him for just a few minutes he said we needed to take him to the ER. GREAT.....so I load Logan and Bridger back up and call Jason to let him know...and we head to the ER knowing it was just going to be a real fun night. To make a long story short.....we spent about 6 hours at the ER. They did blood work, X-ray, Ultrasound.....and nothing. Obviously that is good news. It was funny cause as soon as Logan got some Morphine in him....he was back to his old self. He was making friends with everyone....just like Logan to chat with everyone. His favorite is to ask "What's your name". Then also he was telling everyone he was 10 years old. He is a character all right! So about 12:30 they sent us home, and told us to just follow up with our doctor the next day.

As if the night hadn't been bad enough....on my way home...it was now after 1am....I got pulled over. I was turning into my subdivision, when the police officer turned his lights on. I knew I had not been speeding....but my heart was racing, knowing that my drivers liscence had been expired since June. The officer came up and asked for liscence and registration then went back to his car. When he came back he asked where I was coming from and I told him the ER. He shinned his light on Logan in the back that was asleep....but still wearing his hospital bracelet and pj's....and said, "did you know your liscense is expired"....and I just figured it was best to play dumb. He said it was a $550 fine, but said, "looks like you have had a hell of a night, get your liscense taken care of". Thank goodness he was nice about it and let me go!!!! What a night!
