DOIN' HAIR!!!

Nalani and Lani came out last night so Nalani could color my hair. Besides a good excuse to come out it is always fun to have the girls over---especially when Jason is out of town...nothing like a good girls night. We made dinner, caught up on the gossip and watched America's Next Top Model---there not much better quality girl time than that!!! Oh yeah----and the hair turned out so good--Thanks Nalani!

Does anyone see anything wrong with this picture? I couldn't pass up this "blog worthy" moment.......Here is Jason getting ready to go muzzle loader deer hunting. He just washed the new truck this week so he didn't want to take it up the canyon, so he jammed everything (the two dogs, three coolers, tote full of dog food, propane, gas cans, and clothes) in the little truck while the big new truck sits nice and clean in the garage. I told him it kinda looked "white trash" with stuff all tied down in the back of the little truck---but oh well, he says he doesn't want to put to many miles on the new truck----well little does he know, I will be taking that to work the rest of the week! :)

PLAYPEN?

This is Jason's idea of a playpen. He puts Logan in the back of the truck to keep him confined to one place. Tonight he was getting ready to go hunting for the rest of the week and was running around so he just put Logan in there....I guess if Logan likes it then its okay, right?

Birthday Party

We went to a birthday party on Friday night at Tiffany's house. It was lots of fun, I kept telling Tiffany all night she was such a nice mom for letting the kids do all the things she let them do. For instance she let all the little boys paint pumpkins in her basement....that is pretty brave if you ask me.

The funniest part was that Bridger kept asking for these cupcakes that were out on the table...he couldn't stop thinking about it, he would sneak up there and just look at the cupcakes, then we caught him sticking his fingers in the frosting. Bridgers best part of the whole night was when we finally said it was time for cupcakes. Thats our little guy!!!

Prom Dress

Okay---I wish I knew more of the story behind this....but somehow Tiffany (in the red) told Kathy (in the purple) to dress up one day, I think it may have been to impress a cute boy or something. Tiffany told her to wear her prom dress so the next day she showed up to work in this purple crushed velvet number. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to take a picture of this. I don't know how we get any work done with all the funny people I work with!

Nothing too exciting....just haning out at home this weekend!

Kickin' it with the cousins

I watched Janet's kids for a couple of day while she was out of town last week, so here is a pic of Rory, Bridger and Baylee. Bridger was so excited to go hang out with the kids---its his favorite!!!

ADOPTION DAY!!!

September 5, 2006----We went to court today to finalize the adoption with Logan. It was such a great day....to finally have the wait over and have Logan become a Sheppard officially was a great feeling. Court was pretty neat, we went to the same judge that we have been through everything with, but the feeling there today was so much different. Our social worker said that everyone is usually so happy for adoptions that the atmosphere is so different...I guess when the courts go through so many sad situations with families it is probably nice to have something good happen. Not only did we finalize the adoption with Logan but Hal and Anita (Jason's mom and dad) finalized the adoption with Ryan and Rheanna. The judge gave all the kids some toys and let us come up and take a picture with him. It was very nice!!!

Bridger and Mom

Okay---last one from camping this weekend. Let me just say that for only being four, Bridger is such a trooper. He will go anywhere we are going, hike anywhere the boys are hunting and ride the four wheeler early in the morning when it is freezing. He is a pretty tough little guy. This weekend he came home with some war wounds, he ran into a branch and cut his nose and also cut his lip open, although he's not fessing up how that one happened!

Target Practice

Here is the gang: John, Jason, Cory, Troy and Devan shooting their bows.....I even gave it a try!

First Grouse

Jason and Bridger went out hunting one night and while they were spotting for deer they came across a bunch of grouse. They ended up killing this one and Bridger was so proud of it. That night he had to show everyone his "chicken".

Bridger Four Wheelin'

Some friends that we camp with brought these little four wheelers for the kids to play on. Bridger loved it, and Jason is already plotting to pick one of these up for Bridger.

Me and my boys....

Pictures of me and the boys camping this weekend. Bridger and Logan had a blast.....they got very dirty but I just tried not to pay attention to that. :)

Spotting for Elk

Here is Jason up on Browns looking for Elk. This is what we usually do when we are out hunting---lots of sitting around just looking for animals.

Beau & River

I realized I hadn't put any pictures of the my other boys (Beau & River) on my blog yet. I love the picture with Bridger and the dogs. He used to always try and sleep on their bed with them, as you can see he is all snuggled up on their bed with his blanket and everything.
