I'm a proud Auntie!

Payton has finally arrived. I got to see her just for a few minutes right after she was born last night and was able to snap this picture of her. She was 9lbs 6oz and 20 1/2 inches long. Lani, Craig and baby are doing good. I can hardly wait to go see her again!!!

...for the arrival of baby girl Martineau!!! My sister Lani is in labor right now, she has been keeping me updated over email (I think she took her laptop with her...funny huh?). It could have been so fun.....

....in New York!! My girlfriend Mandy sent me some pictures from her trip to New York (the one I was going to go on with her, but had to cancel cause of my stupid knee). This is Jody (Mandy's little sister), Julie (Jody and Mandy's mom), and Mandy (one of my very best friends ever). Back in the day when me and Mandy lived together I got to know her whole family and they were like my family, I love them all. It is so hard to see pictures and see all the stuff I missed out on. Oh well....we will have to plan another trip together, right Mand????

The Great Outdoors

My friend Mindy came up with this idea....she thought it would be fun to head on a canyon on Sunday to enjoy a little time in the outdoors. Tiffany her husband Bob and their three boys, Mindy her husband Jeff and their little girl Katie and of course me, Jason and the boys headed up American Fork Canyon and spend the majority of the day just hanging out in the sun, letting the kids play in some dirty water, then brought stuff to make lunch. It turned out to be really fun, of course it always feels like a ton of work just getting somewhere with a group and with the kids, but we all ended up having a great time.

Me and Jason....it was also our anniversary this weekend. Six years....boy how time flies!!! Besides Sunday afternoon with our friends we were able to just spend some time alone on Saturday and it was a really nice weekend.

Once we hauled everything down to our little camp site to start fixing lunch, the thunder clouds rolled in. Bob and Jeff ran up and got the canopy, that saved the day, as you can see everyone was trying to huddle under it. Luckily the rain didn't last long and it turned out to be a really nice afternoon and evening.

Dirtiest Kids Ever!!

These pictures are so funny to me....this weekend Jason took Bridger camping. Our neighbor also took his little girl camping, so the two kids played all weekend together. These are the kinds of pictures that you shouldn't ever let the moms see. I was dying about how dirty the kids are....especially letting Carley go to sleep as dirty as she was. I guess only a dad would let that happen!!! :)

Sisters Night

A weekend at home alone quickly turned into a sisters weekend. My oldest sister Janet came out to stay with me all weekend. Jason and the boys were gone camping from Friday night til Tuesday.....thats a long time alone. Anyway, me and Janet were very active all weekend (I say active cause anything has been better than being cooped up for the last 3 to 4 weeks). My sister Lani also came out to hang on Saturday night, and of course when there's company we seem to always break out the Karaoke (she wouldn't let me take pictures of her though, cause she is so pregnant and about to pop)


Here is me and Janet at the movie theater, kickin' it with the Simpsons. We actually saw Licensed To Wed...and it was hilarious. I laughed throughout the whole thing. I highly recommend it.

Here we are actually in the theater before the movie started, and Janet was laughing at me cause I was freezing so I put my jacket on...including the hood. We had went to the pool earlier in the day and both got sun burnt so I had the chills now that we were in the cold theater.


Last but not least, we did some shopping...here are just a couple of my purchases that I'm pretty happy about. I have been searching the net for weeks trying to find some shoes that I could wear with my bum knee and I finally found some this weekend. So showing off my new Kenneth Cole shoes and bag.

...There aren't enough words that could even explain this night. You may think I was just amused by everything because it has been so long since I've been around other life, but thats not the case. I have to say, my friends know how to put on a good time. Tonight especially Jana....she really brought the entertainment tonight, I coulnd't have asked for a better show than Jana gave me. Since I was on the couch and couldn't really do much, the other girls did enough dancing and being crazy for me....I was real proud!!!

"Jump" Starting the Night

The night I have been looking forward to has finally arrived. My favorite girlfriends came out to see me and have a fun girls night. We started out with some fun outside....as you can see the girls were out to impress.....and that they did!

Fire Season

Here are some pictures from my brother-in-law (okay, soon to be brother-in-law). He is a fire fighter and of course it is fire season so he has been very busy out fighting forest fighters. It is a litle more scary now when I hear about forest fires cause I wonder if he has been called out on it. In this picture below Beau is on the right.

2nd Birthday

Today Logan turns 2! I can't hardly believe how time flies. We got him this little bike so he can now go out and ride around with Bridger and the other kids in the neighborhood. He is pretty smart and coordinated and I'm sure it won't take him long to figure out how to ride his new bike.

Told you so......

....here are the boys laying in my bed watching cartoons, just like I said they would be. If they are home, they are trying to be in my bed with me. Even though I do appreciate my alone time, I really do enjoy having the kids with me.

Peace and Quiet

As last, peace and quiet. For the last two weeks I have been recovering from my knee surgery, and although I have had help all along the way the kids have been here the whole time too....which I guess doesn't always allow for a peaceful day. So no matter what I would do to try to get away and have some time to myself the kids were always right there, whether I was trying to nap, shower, or just relax it was never alone. Tonight Jason took them with him to run some errands and the peacefulness in the house is priceless. I am just trying to soak it in because it will be over before I know and I will have my little boys crawling back in bed with me to watch cartoons.

I'm sorry if any of you are getting tired of my boring blog entries....I haven't had the most exciting things to blog about these days. Rylee got this picture of me and Logan right before he headed to bed, he came over to give me hugs and kisses. I just have to say that my cute boys just keep me going. Just when I am having a frustrating moment or feeling a little down they are there to cheer me up. Bridger checks on me all day long asking if I need anything and is always careful not to bump mommy's bad leg. Logan is so happy all the time and so full of energy. If anything is motivation to get up and get better, it is for my boys!

WHAT A GOOD DAY!

Tiffany was nice enough to come visit me this morning. It was a big occasion to have a guest....second day doing my hair :)



In this second picture I am really happy...Tiffany made a delivery to me. Several of my good friends (sales reps) that I work with went in on a gift card to the spa. I can't even say how excited I am as well as grateful. I thought it was so nice of them.....Jim, Scott, Billy, Chad, Rick.....you guys are the best! Thanks a million, it really brightened my day! This has been one of the hardest and frustrating things I have been through, so thanks for making things just a little brighter, and giving me something to look forward to.

The Boys

BIG DAY

This has been a big day.....its the first time I have done my hair since surgery. It has been depressing looking in the mirror everyday looking pretty scary...no makeup, hair all crazy or pulled up in a pony tail...you get the idea. I have actually felt really good today. Well I guess when I say really good, I guess I should say much better than I have. So I brought a stool into the bathroom and decided to try and get ready, it just makes you feel better. My neice Rylee took this picture....she was probably happy I was trying to look better too! :)

New York City

On a sad note...if it wasn't for this dang knee problem I would be in New York right now. Me and one of my best girl friends (Mandy) had a trip planned to go there for a week. She called me yesterday and all I could do was cry. She was telling me how beautiful it was and how much she missed me. It was a sad moment realizing I could be doing awesome things in NYC rather than laying in bed watching HGTV.

PRODUCTIVE DAY

I feel like I have had a productive day today...let me tell you about it. I showered, put on makeup and even blow dried my hair. On top of that I was feeling so ambitious that I used Jason's shaver and unwrapped my knee and shaved my leg. Maybe that is too much information for some of you, but I can't tell you how much better it feels to have a shaved leg under that ace bandage. I was pretty excited about it to say the least. I know that I usually update the blog with pictures, but I just can't come up with a thing to take pictures of. I thought that a picture of me shaving my leg would have been a little much for the blog....this isn't an X rated blog....have to keep it clean.

POST SURGERY UPDATE

Good news....I made it through my knee surgery, but I'm not very happy about it. I didn't realize it would be as painful as it has been. As soon as the block wore out on my leg it felt like my leg was on fire and it was very painful to even move at all. My mom has been here helping with everything, I can't even say how much that has helped....I'm already dreading her having to leave.

Maybe some of you have noticed...but no picture on this posting. I have been lucky to get a shower each day, but I am in no place to be taking pictures.

One more nice thing....I ordered a laptop off Dell last week and it arrived today so
I can happily blog while laying in bed. Stay tuned!!!

I haven't received any good books from anyone....thanks alot!! :)

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF.....ME!

I better get used to the look of this....cause I'm in for the long haul. Surgery on June 25th fix my torn ACL....out of work for at least two weeks and who knows how much longer to totally recover. My doctor told me...in a heavy duty brace for 6 weeks and a smaller fitted brace for up to a year. I guess I'm in a bummed mode about the whole thing. My summer is pretty much shot, no trip to NY, probably not much camping, definitely no more swimming pools....Anyone have any good books? Send them my way!!!

Target

Nothing like running some errands on lunch. Me, Tiff, Jana and Mindy ran over to Target on lunch...Tiff was affraid I would take to long trying to walk around the store with my bum knee that she had the idea of me riding in the little Jazzy scooter. It was really funny....I couldn't stop laughing about it, especially when I had to back up it beeps like a truck or something would beep. We are always having a good time know matter what we are doing...good thing I carry my camera to capture all these funny moments.

Boys Weekend

Jason and his friends had been planning this boys, 4 wheeling, camping thing for a while. I have to say, even though I wasn't the happiest wife being left home with a bum leg and watching the kids....I was happy that he had so much fun. I stole a couple pictures off his camera...I have to say that it does look like fun, and Jason does look pretty handsome (in a rugged kinda way)!!!!

"Fun" in the sun!

Tiffany had invited us to go to the pool this last weekend. The weather was supposed to be really nice so we thought it would be a wonderful way to spend Sunday. Several of us ended up going....Tiffany and her boys, Mindy and her little girl Katie, my sister Janet. After being there about and hour or so I went to play with Bridger in the kiddie pool. It had lots of slides and fun stuff for kids. Well I went on a slide with Bridger and somehow slipped getting off and landed funny on my right leg. My whole knee twisted and I heard it pop....let me just say it hurt as bad as anything I can remember. I just layed there in about a foot of water just dying of pain...it was a good 5 or more minutes before I even dared to move. I slid myself over to the side and just sat there cause I didn't dare to move. To make a long story short....I ended up at Urgent Care that afternoon (Tiffany really wanted me to call the ambulance so we could get a good picture for the blog). After X-rays, the doctor saw that I had a little broken bone in my knee and thinks I tore my ACL. So I am on crutches and a brace. I saw a specialist on Tuesday this week, got and MRI yesterday, but don't get back to see the doctor until next week. At that time I will hopefully know what is wrong and know what it is going to take to fix this.
